Director Carlo Van de Roer Captures the Essence of 15 Rescue Dogs in NFT Charity Project 'Rescued'

The proceeds of all sales will be donated to support Best Friends Animal Society in their mission to make every shelter in the US no-kill by 2025

“The dog is the god of frolic,” said 19th-century American minister Henry Ward Beecher – a quote about to be illustrated by a group of super-hairy supermodels and stars of this NFT-native photography project dedicated to preventing rescue dogs across the U.S. from being put down. The moving images, coming out soon for purchase, are the work of CASEY director Carlo Van de Roer: a collaboration between his ground breaking R&D company Satellite Lab and the post-production house LVLY. The project was produced by CASEY.

Carlo makes use of his patented technology DynamicLight to dramatically slow down the jumping, digging, shaking, barking, drooling, and licking canine subjects while still able to manoeuvre the light sources around them. This is because these lights are moving at over 10’000 feet per second – transforming even the frozen moments of high-speed imaging.

Carlo has recently used the new technology in Thor: Love and Thunder and previously in Thor: Ragnarok. A visionary as well as tech guru, his work has been exhibited at venues such as M+B Gallery, Suite Gallery, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Haggerty Museum of Art, Hyères Photography Festival, Paris Photo Prize, and the MUSAC Museum of Contemporary Art.

He has directed commercially for brands such as Dolby, Microsoft, Dove, La Mer, Lexus, AMEX, Apple, Finlandia, Coty, The Northface, Samsung, Estée Lauder, and J&J.
